
The National Media Council (NMC), in co-operation with the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC), an awareness campaign where Fatima Sadiq, a nutritionist at the Centre, has made a presentation.
The event coincides with the World Diabetes Day aimed at raising global awareness about diabetes.
Sadiq demonstrated in detail ways to spread a culture of awareness among people to combat the disease, which has spreading at an unprecedented pace and is dangerous.
NMC staff attended the lecture. Fatima Sadiq underlined for the audience the importance of eating fruits, consuming water and exercising to address diabetes.
The awareness lecture, organised by the Government Communication Department, comes in the context of encouraging employees and acquainting them with precautions one needs to observe to prevent the disease.
