Ebola outbreak
Nigeria - SPA

Nigeria's Health Ministry has banned the transport of corpses across national and state borders, an attempt to halt an Ebola outbreak that has killed almost 1,000 in West Africa, local newspaper Leadership reported Sunday.
"We institute control measures. Henceforth dead bodies will not be allowed to be transported from one part of the country to another," dpa quoted federal state minister for health in northern Kano State, Khalliru Alhassan, as saying.
Two people have died of Ebola in Nigeria. Seven others are infected with the virus, while six suspected cases are yet to be confirmed. About 70 people are under surveillance.
Guinea has the majority of Ebola cases, according to the WHO, with 495 suspected or confirmed cases and 367 deaths by August 7.
Ebola has a fatality rate of 90 per cent and is transmitted through blood and other body fluids.
