National Polio vaccination campaign launches in Egypt

Health Minister Adel Adawi launched on Sunday a nation-wide polio vaccination campaign to maintain a high level of protection among children against polio virus and maintain Egypt polio-free.
More than 15 million children under the age of five will be vaccinated, the minister said in press statements.
The last polio case was reported in Egypt in 2004 while the World Health Organization announced Egypt polio-free in 2006.
The campaign will run for four days from 8:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m.
