More than 50 expatriate forum members donate blood

More than 50 members of Indian expatriate forum Tulu Koota Qatar donated blood at its 14th annual blood donation camp held at HMC’s blood donor unit on Friday. Nearly 300 people attended the event. A symposium highlighting the importance of donating blood was addressed by Dr Vishnu Bhat. Forum president Seetharam Shetty welcomed the gathering, event co-ordinator M Iqbal Manna compered and cultural secretary Padmashree Shetty proposed a vote of thanks. Prominent members from the Indian expatriate community, including M I Farid, Milan Arun, Syed Abdul Hye, Habibul Nabi, Syed Abdul Qayyum, Karnataka Sangha president Mannangi, general secretary Deepak Shetty, former president Arun Kumar, Bunts Qatar president M Ravi Shetty, South Kanara Muslim Welfare Association president Abdulla Mono, Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association vice president Fayaz Ahmed, Tulu Koota’s former presidents, Ramachandra Shetty, Divakar Poojary and Prakashchandra Ajila were among those present.
