Malaysia confirms 8 cases of Influenza A H1N1

The Sabah Health Department has confirmed that eight cases of Influenza A H1N1 were detected in the state this month, according to a report Thursday from Malaysia's state news agency Bernama. Its director Christina Rundi said seven of the cases were detected at the Sabah Women and Children's Hospital while the other in Sandakan, the second-largest town in Sabah. "The Sabah Health Department received a report on the cases at the Sabah Women and Children's Hospital on Feb. 3," she said, adding that after screening and testing, seven cases were detected positive for flu A H1N1. All of the patients were under treatment and in stable condition, she said.
