Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) will send an urgent medical aid to hospitals in Gaza which suffer from an extreme shortage of medicine and equipment, in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
The Society has contacted Kuwait Embassy in Cairo to take permission from the Egyptian authorities to allow the aid to pass through Rafah Crossing, said the Society's Board member and Honorary Treasurer Saad Al-Nahidh in a statement on Tuesday.
The Society will keep on sending humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza, which is currently under vicious Israeli attacks, he said, noting that the Kuwaiti team is closely monitoring the needs of Gaza people in cooperation with humanitarian organizations.
Kuwait will send an airplane carrying 40 tons of medical aid through Abdullah Al-Mubarak Airbase, said Al-Nahidh, praising the efforts of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah in aiding Palestinians.
Al-Nahidh thanked all Kuwaitis and non-Kuwaitis who donated for Gaza, noting that the Society will continue supporting Palestinians in the face of Israeli attacks in every way possible.
