
His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan and Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi discussed over the phone on Wednesday, the latest developments in the region, mainly efforts to fight terrorism, Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the telephone call, the King reiterated Jordan's support to the efforts of the Iraqi government to fight terrorism and terror gangs, and achieve security and stability in the country.
The King praised progress that have been achieved by the Iraqi forces to defeat the Daesh terrorist group.
His Majesty and the Iraqi prime minister also discussed means to forge closer ties, mainly in the economic field, and resume trade between the two countries through the Amman-Baghdad highway.
