Jordan's Ambassador to Bahrain, Mohammad Siraj, met Bahrain's Minister of Health, Sadiq Al Shehabi, on Tuesday and discussed prospects for health cooperation between the two countries.
The envoy delivered an invitation to the minister to participate in the Conference of Breast Cancer in the Arab World, that Jordan will host on March 22.
The minister praised Jordanian-Bahraini ties and noted that the two kingdoms had signed a number memoranda of understanding to expand cooperation.
The conference will be the first of its kind in the Arab world, providing a roadmap for countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to establish comprehensive national breast cancer early detection and prevention programs.
The conference will bring together leaders, decision makers, public health experts, health care providers, patient support groups, advocates and survivors for two days to address key challenges related to breast cancer.
