
Insulin produced in Constantine (431-km east of Algiers) will be available on the national market soon, announced Friday in Austria's Vienna the Director of Marketing of the national pharmaceutical group SAIDAL, Naili Saad-Eddine Yahia.
In a statement to APS on the sidelines of the 50th Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD), held in Vienna from 15 to 19 September, Naili said that the insulin produced, as part of the partnership between SAIDAL Group and the Danish laboratories Novo Nordisk, will be available on the national market soon.
In this regard, he underlined that his group "gives great importance to the improvement of the medical care provided to diabetics in Algeria," adding that this first participation of SAIDAL in this international meeting aims at discovering the latest advances in medicines and medical equipment.
He also hailed the participation of 200 Algerian doctors of different specialities linked to diabetes management, from both the public and private sectors, in the meeting.
Over thirty multinational companies specialized in the production of medical equipment are participating in the exhibition devoted to the latest advances in the field.
