Health watchdog denies reports of Ebola cases in Russia's Oryol Region

Rospotrebnadzor sanitary and consumer rights watchdog in the Oryol Region in western Russia has ruled out Ebola in two patients who were suspected of having the deadly virus.
It said two African students had been hospitalized within the framework of an exercise on Ebola awareness underway in Oryol. Prior to that, 16 suspected Ebola cases were reported in Russia, but none of them was confirmed.
In an earlier report on Thursday, Rospotrebnadzor confirmed that two African students were suspected of contracting Ebola.
