Giza Governor Ali Abdel Rahman said Saturday the sewage overflow that occurred this afternoon in front of the Bulaq Dakrur Hospital had been controlled.
A canceled sewer line was being tested, which led to the flow of drainage water at houses in Ezbet Harb, Tharwat Bridge, Bulaq Dakrur hospital and police station areas.
The governor, who inspected the scene, said more than 15 water suction cars rushed to dry the place.
Patients were transferred temporarily to other government hospitals and were expected to return on Monday, he added.
The hospital sterilization measures are scheduled to take part this evening, he added.
