A German pharmaceutical company has chosen Jordan, from among 17 countries, to host 700 Russian doctors for its annual conference where they will be briefed about the latest developments in the sector.
The Boehringer-Ingelheim pharmaceutical firm picked the King Hussein bin Talal Convention Center at the Dead Sea shores as the venue for its annual conference, which kicked off last Saturday, according to Director General of Tyche Travel & Tourism, Ibrahim Mahadin, who coordinated arrangements for the conference.
"Representatives from the German company visited Jordan in advance to have a first-hand look at the potential and services available as well as the aspects of security and stability in the Kingdom," Mahadin said, adding that the one-week conference will be a good opportunity for the Russian physicians to learn about daily life in Jordan.
The travel agent also said that the conference will include field visits to the tourist attractions across the Kingdom.
Meanwhile, participants in the conference attended a dinner banquet at the Citadel in the heart of Amman and said they enjoyed their stay at the Dead Sea shores.
