JERUSALEM: A delegation from Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) Office in Ramallah, the West Bank, has visited wounded Gazan Palestinians in Jerusalem in order to express U.A.E's sympathy with them and offer them humanitarian support during their current crisis.

Sami Makkawi, Director of ERC's Office, said the visits to the Gazans recovering at al-Maqased Hospital, are being made on directives by the ERC Secretary-General, Mohamed Ateeq Al Falahi.

Makkawi added that Mr. Al Falahi also gave directives that ERC will cover the expenses of the treatment of the wounded at the said hospital.

Ahmed Al Teebi, Member of Knesset (United Arab List - Ta'al), who also visited the wounded Gazans, said, "U.A.E., under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and its humanitarian agencies, ERC in particular, are on the forefront of providing relief for the Palestinians at all times, and during the current events in Gaza Strip in particular."
