
Emirates Post Group, in association with the GMC Hospital in Ajman, organised a two-week-long free health awareness campaign at Ajman Central Post Office. The programme enabled the visitors and customers to benefit from on the sport tests for diabetes, blood pressure and dental health. The campaign was inaugurated by Mohammed Hamad Dalwan, Director of Ajman Post Office, in the presence of Dr. Essam Atta, Deputy Director of GMC hospital, and number of medical professionals in addition to a number of employees of Ajman Central Post Office. The campaign saw a large turnout of customers and residents from the surrounding area. The doctors and staff of GMC hospital provided free medical consultations, blood tests and dental examinations and other examinations including checking blood sugar levels and excess body fat, and recommended treatment and also gave away free vouchers to dental treatment. Fahad Al Hosani, Acting CEO of Emirates Post Group, said that "This campaign was part of our corporate social responsibility. We believe health must remain primary focus. The regular check-ups can help in detecting latent diseases, and for this reason it is important to organise such health awareness campaigns." Dr. Essam Atta, while thanking Ajman Central Post Office for its support to the campaign, said: "GMC Hospital in Ajman is proud to be part of this social service. We partner with different institutions to assist in early detection of chronic diseases and we would like to urge everyone to take advantage of the opportunities provided by such health campaigns, and to get medical advice even if one is not suffering from any disease, because this helps in the prevention of illness and diseases, such as diabetes and heart ailments."
