Health Minister Adel Adawi oversaw Saturday water suction process at the Bulaq Dakrur General Hospital, after the sewage overflow that occurred this afternoon had been under control.
A canceled sewer line was being tested, which led to the flow of drainage water at houses in Ezbet Harb, Tharwat Bridge, Bulaq Dakrur hospital and police station areas.
The minister, who inspected the scene, said the patients evacuation in coordination with the Giza province officials was a model for how to manage crises in emergencies and disasters.
The hospital sterilization measures must be completed then patients, who were transferred temporarily to other government hospitals, could return, he added.
