Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has found poor-quality Norwegian fish products containing Escherichia coli, the press service reported on Thursday. “The laboratory research revealed Escherichia coli in codfish liver and frozen herring that had been supplied from Norwegian enterprises,” the press service said. The Russian service warned the Norwegian veterinary service to prevent such violations and establish control over products of these enterprises. From June 30 to July 6 Rosselkhoznadzor lifted temporary restrictions on supplies of sturgeon and trout to Russia. The restrictions were imposed on April 28.
