The thirteenth edition of the Dubai World Dental Meeting kicked off on Sataurday at the Novotel Hotel – Dubai World Trade Centre with 9 eminent speakers from the United States, Chile, Lebanon and Germany. The 2013 DWDM pre-conference courses occur before AEEDC Conference and Exhibition and cover the fields of Periodontology, Restorative/Aesthetic, Endodontics, Orthodontology, Implantology and infection control. Dr. Nasser Al Malik the Chairman of the AEEDC Dubai Conference explained that the DWDM is an educational pre-conference meeting, running prior to the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition – AEEDC Dubai, which is held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority. With the continued outstanding success of the DWDM courses during the past twelve years and due to the high demand from dental professionals of the region, the DWDM scientific committee are challenged every year to put up an outstanding program for participants who attend from all parts of the region and the world. “The Dubai World Dental Meeting (DWDM) is a continuing education programme organised by Index Conferences and Exhibitions Organisation Est. – member of INDEX Holding and in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority. The courses are a great opportunity for the dental professionals to learn from the leaders of the dental community.” said Dr. Al Malik He also declared: “This year we are expecting more than 220 dentists to register, we have a full program this year covering majority of key topics in the field of dentistry. The DWDM courses will continue until the 4th of February with accreditation hours from the Dubai Health Authority, the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and Index Conference & Exhibitions Organisation Est is recognised as American Dental Association provider.
