Dubai has won a unanimous approval of members of the International Academy of Legal Medicine (IALM) to host the 23rd conference in 2015. Dubai won hosting the event after a fierce competition with Spain and Italy during the 22nd IALM conference, currently in session in Istanbul, Turkey. The 2015 IALM gathering will be the first conference hosted outside of the European continent. Commenting on the occasion, Deputy Chief of Dubai Police Major Colonel Khamis Al-Muzainah said that the United Arab Emirates has a keen interest in hosting such international events which easily helped the academy panel to choose Dubai as the next host city of the IALM conference and exhibition. Hosting such global event translates the vision of Dubai Police that aims at strengthening the bonds amongst security institutes and academies, inside and outside of the country, he noted. He added that such event would help greatly in touching base with the latest developments in doctrinal, scientific, and technological advances in legal medicine and forensic sciences.
