The National Health Insurance Company, Daman, today announced the addition of three new programmes to its popular Health Support services. Programmes for colorectal and cervical cancers along with rheumatoid arthritis have been added to improve the quality of life for Daman members suffering with these conditions. The new programmes are in addition to the existing ones for diabetes management, asthma management, breast cancer case management and maternity management. The programmes have proven very popular among Daman members with over 5,000 having participated in the programmes so far. Daman's Health Support Director, Dr. Alfons Grabosch, commented, "We understand that patients need more support than mere medication. The addition of three new programmes means we are now able to provide professional counseling on six life-changing diseases, a further demonstration of our commitment to pro-actively provide on-going support for members." Daman members joining any Health Support programme are assigned a personal coordinator who provides regular support in coordination with the treating physician. The coordination allows members to be more involved and aware of their condition and treatment plan. Dr. Grabosch added, "Since the launch of our Health Support programmes with Diabetes Management in 2009, we have helped many members to better cope with their conditions and we look forward to helping more through our new programmes." Coinciding with the new colorectal cancer management programme, Daman is now including coverage for colorectal cancer screening in all Enhanced plans. The annual screening is offered to members over 50 years old.
