Citizens of the World beware of laziness

A recent medical study carried out by a team of 33 medical researchers from all over the world revealed that mortality rate in inactive subjects equal that in smokers which is an approximately 5.3 million fatalities per annum. The study published in the British Lancet Medical Journal on the occasion of the London Olympic Games 2012 that one-third of the world's adult population lack in sufficient physical activity and this leads to 5.3 deaths yearly. The study warned that procrastination has reached the worst level and should be dealt with as an epidemic, pointing out that the problem requires thinking out new treatment methods including warning lazy persons against the hazards of inactivity instead of reminding them of the advantages of physical exercise. The researchers said that governments all over the world should seek means to encourage their denizens to carry out physical activities that are more appropriate, safe and less costly. The study advises adults to carry out physical exercises for 150 minutes per week and ride a bike or carry out any physical activity. The state revealed that citizens of rich nations who obtain higher salaries are the least active such as in Britain, where the study proved that two-thirds of the adult populations fail to carry out sufficient physical activity. Although the researchers admitted it was difficult to conduct a comparative study between countries, however, the method of how physical activity is done varies from one country to another and from one place to another, but they asserted their confidence in the result of their study.
