CBS News' Lara Logan quarantines herself after Ebola report in Liberia

WASHINGTON, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Lara Logan is under self-imposed quarantine for 21 days in South Africa, after the CBS News' reporter traveled to Liberia to cover the Ebola outbreak for 60 Minutes.
CBS sent Logan to report from a hospital treating Ebola patients in Liberia, where more than 2700 people have died from the deadly disease.
Logan, whose quarantine is set to end this Friday, spoke to 60 Minutes Overtime over webcam from her hotel room.
"We wanted to try, as much as possible, to minimize our exposure to anybody while we still had to get our piece done," she said.
"We were very mindful of the fact that this 21-day period after you've been in an Ebola-affected country is very important to everyone," she added.
Logan said that she and her reporting team sprayed themselves frequently with chlorine and avoided contact with other people while in Liberia.
"One thing that strikes you when you arrive in the country is that the first thing you see is Liberian workers in the airport who are wearing face masks, and some of them wearing aprons. Before you can enter the terminal building, you have to wash your hands with chlorine," she said.
