Cancer Awareness Nation (CAN) campaign Vice Chairman Dr. Khalid Al-Saleh said Thursday that the number of cancer cases has increased rapidly in Kuwait.
The campaign gave special attention to special needs people with cancer because they need more physical and psychological support than a healthy person, Al-Saleh told KUNA.
CAN campaign has launched an awareness campaign for special needs in the Kuwait blind association, and will have another campaign again on October 12 with the participation of the CAN voluntary teams, he added.
Blind with cancer doubles psychological suffering for a healthy person, which calls for more attention to them and intensification of awareness programs to reduce incidence of cancer, he said.
