The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Future Society for Youth Isa Fulad said that preparations to launch the third edition of "Our Children Are Like Gold" campaign had been completed.
The campaign is part of the "Smile" Initiative aiming to spread optimism among the families of children affected with cancer and help them overcome the disease with a smile.
This is an effort to raise awareness among all segments of the Bahraini society to support children with cancer, he said, noting that the two previous editions had been successful.
He pointed out that the one-month campaign, to kick-start tomorrow, will include functions and awareness-raising programmes to attract massive social participation, adding that children will enjoy a variety of activities such as colouring faces, competitions and birthday parties.
He said that the campaign's team will intensify contacts with people at public places in order to spread awareness on cancer and how to deal with cancer patients.
Isa Fulad thanked all partners, sponsors and participants in the campaigns, calling on citizens and residents to participate effectively in the campaign.
