
Public Security Chief, head of the National Anti-disaster Committee, Major-General Tariq Hassan Al-Hassan has today received World Health Organisation (WHO) experts , who arrived in Manama to assess Bahrain’s precautionary measures and preventive preparations to prevent any potential outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus.
Health Ministry Undersecretary, member of the National Anti-disaster Committee Dr. Aisha Bu’unq and other officials attended the audience. Assistant Undersecretary for Primary Care and Public Care and the director of the security of entry points at the Ministry of Interior were also present.
Public Security Chief, head of the National Anti-disaster Committee, Major-General Tariq Hassan Al-Hassan stressed the importance of optimizing the role of clinics which were set up at different exit points to conduct the necessary screening of passengers entering Bahrain. A mock emergency scenario was conducted to assess Bahrain’s preparedness to deal with a potential outbreak of the deadly virus.
