Health Minister Sadaq Abdulkarim Al Shehabi stressed strong historic ties binding Bahrain and Egypt. He was speaking at a meeting with Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain Essam Saleh Awad, describing bilateral relations as a model to emulate in coordinating stances regarding Arab and Islamic issues. He also emphasized the Health Ministry's keenness to bolster cooperation between both countries in the health field. He hailed the Egyptian government's support to Bahrain during the regrettable incidents of February 2011 and its emphasis on the sovereignty and independence of Bahrain. The meeting was attended by Health Ministry Public Relations Director Abdulaziz Mohammed Al refai'i.
