
The Kingdom of Bahrain will organize in December 2014 the Bahrain Health Insurance Forum/ Expo under the patronage of Minister of State for Defence Affairs also Chairman of the Supreme Council for Health, Lt-Gen Dr. Shaikh Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, with the participation of more than 20 governmental and private bodies, Director General of Executive Office of GCC Health Ministers' Council, Professor Tawfiq Khouja stated.
Prof. Khouja said the forum will highlight the efforts made by Bahrain's leadership and government to provide better health services to citizens and residents. He praised directives of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and support of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier to make the event successful.
He added that the most important goals of the forum is to contribute to disseminate the culture of health insurance and raise awareness among citizens on the National Health Insurance project.
He explained the forum comes in line with the global trends and in recognition of the pivotal role played by the health systems in raising people's welfare.
The forum is expected to attract large participation from the Executive Office of GCC Health Ministers' Council, World Health Organisation (WHO), governmental bodies, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), local insurance companies, hospitals, private clinics and other organisations.
