Algerian specialists focus on cystic fibrosis

President of the Algerian Association of Pneumo-phtisiology Professor Salim Nafti said Friday in Algiers that special attention was given to cystic fibrosis by pediatricians and pulmonologists. As part of the national seminar on lung diseases, Prof. Nafti said that this disease was little known in Algeria but specialists at the hospital in Lyon (France) discovered that 10 pc of children in the Maghreb suffer it. The disease has prevalence in Maghreb region, he said.
