
The reinforcement of Algerian-Brazilian cooperation in health sector was at the centre of discussions between the minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform, Abdelmalek Boudiaf, and Brazilian ambassador to Algiers, Eduardo Botelho Barbosa. The discussions, which took place Sunday at the health ministry headquarters, allowed “examine this cooperation which includes different fields,” the ministry said in a communiqué. In this framework, Barbosa expressed the wish of Brazilian authorities and companies to “develop more bilateral cooperation in all fields and suggested, in particular, to relaunch, on sustainable bases, the partnership in matter of high- level health care, such as cardio-paediatric surgery, and surgery for the seriously-affected burn victims.” The Brazilian diplomat emphasized the need for pharmaceuticals partnership, as many Brazilian operators expressed willingness to invest in Algeria.
