
Ambulatory Healthcare Services, has announced that the first phase of renovation of the Abu Dhabi Dental centre has been complete. The renovation work includes the construction of new office spaces for administrative uses as well as male and female waiting areas, including rest rooms. Phases II and III of renovation will focus on the upgrade of medical facilities at the centre namely the setting up of a dental laboratory as well as a Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) that will serve as an integrated facility for the sterilization of medical devices, equipment and consumables. In 2013, AHS successfully completed the full expansion and renovation of its Mafraq Dental centre at a total cost of AED17 million. The entire renovation work was completed over a period of three years. The opening was attended by Rashid Saif Al Qubaisi, Chief Executive Officer of SEHA, Mohamad Hawas Al Sadid, AHS CEO, and the AHS executive management team. AHS CEO, Mohamad Hawas Al Sadid, said: "Abu Dhabi Dental centre is one of AHS' two dedicated centres offering dental treatment and services within Abu Dhabi Island. The importance of dentistry as a branch of medicine is growing worldwide and at Abu Dhabi Dental centre, we have a team of highly efficient Specialists, General Practice dentists, dental technicians, hygienists and assistants who deliver specialty dental services that are at par with the best international practices and services. He added, "At AHS, we are committed to improving the infrastructure at our dedicated dental centres in Abu Dhabi to cater to the growing numbers of dental patients. The first of our three-phased renovation project, focusing on enhancing the administrative capacity and patient conveniences, will help us streamline our work at the centre and ensure customer satisfaction.
