
The Health Authority in Abu Dhabi (HAAD) reportedTuesday discovery of three new cases of the deadly Middle East RespiratorySyndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV).The new cases were identified through screenings for contacts of affectedindividuals and that they are all asymptomatic.In its statement, the HAAD confirmed that the current situation is not a public healthconcern and that it is coordinating with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and otherauthorities in the country, and has taken all necessary measures as per internationalstandards and recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO).The HAAD advised the public to follow these tips to help prevent respiratoryillnesses: wash hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds, and help youngchildren do the same. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer.
