
Two human infections with Avian Influenza A (H5N1) were reported in Minya and Assuit governorate.
In a press release on Monday, Health Ministry said the first case is a boy, 9, who was infected after being exposed to dead birds while the other case is a young woman, 19, that was infected when she was slaying birds in her home.
They were moved to hospitals for medical treatment with Tamiflu drug.
The total number of people who were infected with H5N1 this year reached six after the infection of those two people.
