Trump engagement ring fetches $300K

A large diamond engagement ring that Donald Trump gave his second wife has sold for $300,000 at a New York City auction.
The 7.45-carat emerald-cut, Harry Winston-designed ring is about the size of a postage stamp. It was bought on Wednesday by an anonymous phone bidder.
Actress and TV personality Marla Maples had sold the ring at auction for $110,000 after she and Trump divorced in 1999. The American couple who bought it asked the same auctioneer, Joseph DuMouchelle (doo-moo-SHEL’), to sell it.
DuMouchelle says he’s thrilled the ring sold for its estimated price and he hopes the new owner will enjoy the “rarity of its beauty.”
