H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, today attended in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the opening ceremony of the 10th edition of Sharjah Popular Poetry Festival at the Cultural Palace. As many 33 Arab poets are taking part in the cultural event. The festival is organised by the Department of Culture and Information and will continue till 8th February. Sheikh Sultan presented a commemorative shield to veteran Emirati poet Ali Salim Al Kaabi. He then toured an exhibition staged on the sideline of the festival.
