Khartoum - MENA

Khartoum's new Ambassador in Cairo Abdel-Mahmoud Abdel-Halim said Sudanese President Omar el-Bashir will visit Egypt within the coming few days at an invitation from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
In statements to the press on Tuesday, the ambassador said he received Bashir's instruction to further promote Egyptian-Sudanese relations.
The Ethiopian dam issue can be solved within a tripartite framework, he said, adding that the visit to Khartoum by the Egyptian irrigation minister included many suggestions in this regard.
He revealed a number of investment projects between Egypt and Sudan and old twinship programs between Cairo and Khartoum to be reactivated soon.
