President of Israel Shimon Peres will participate on Sunday in the World Economic Forum held in the Dead Sea region, Jordan. The Forum kicked off on Saturday with the presence of King Abdullah II, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and US Secretary of State John Kerry. On the sidelines of the forum, Peres will be holding several political meetings with different leaders and officials, Israeli Yedioth Aharonoth reported. Peres will also hold a meeting with Kerry to further discuss the negotiations with the Palestinians, a Palestinian source meanwhile said. Kerry had met with President Abbas on Thursday in Ramallah where the latter reaffirmed the Palestinian side's negotiation stances. Palestinian officials denied claims and reports that Kerry had presented a peace initiative during his meeting with President Abbas.
