
US President Barack Obama left Washington for a weeklong visit to Vietnam and Japan.
On Monday, the US President is scheduled to deliver a speech in Hanoi on relations between the two countries. He will also meet with members of civil society.
From Vietnam, Obama will head to Japan for a summit of leaders of the Group of Seven industrialized nations (G7) in Ise-Shima.
After the summit, the US President will visit Hiroshima with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
Obama will be the first US head of state to visit Hiroshima.
