Head of the National Council for Human Rights Hossam al-Gheriany returned back to Cairo after a several days' visit to Geneva. Al-Gheriany participated in the 26th Session of the International Coordinating Committee (ICC) of National Institutions for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights in Geneva. The meeting discussed the progress achieved towards the implementation of Vienna Declaration, Paris Principles and Amman Declaration. On the sidelines of the meetings, he also participated in the meetings of the Network of African National Human Rights Institutions. Al-Gheriany also met with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay and a number of heads of human rights councils of countries participating in the event
