Nahyan bin Mubarak receives participating delegation

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, received on Wednesday the participating delegations in the awards ceremony of the Asian Football Confederation, AFC, at his palace in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 2016 AFC Annual Awards ceremony hosted by Abu Dhabi. The event honours those who accomplished sports achievements, player of the year, best coaches, teams and sports federations in Asia 2016.

Sheikh Nahyan stressed the wise leadership's continuous support for sports federations, institutions and clubs that prepare and qualify the Emirati generation which would contribute to enhancing its position globally.

He added that the country spares no efforts to develop sports and athletes and sports institutions in line with its sports strategy which includes the participation in all regional and international championships and sports events.
