Cairo - Arab Today

Manpower Minister Mohamed Saafan held a press conference on Sunday to review the latest preparations of Labor Day, which falls on May 1 in Egypt.

During the press conference, the minister announced that the labor unions bill has been drafted and will be submitted to the Cabinet within a week before being sent to the parliament for ratification.

He said the ministry received offers from Libya to send Egyptian workers there, adding that security bodies and the Foreign Ministry have been notified to list the safest areas in Libya for Egyptian workers.

He denied rumors that the government plans to sell state-owned weaving and spinning factories.
