Muscat - KUNA

King Juan Carlos I of Spain left Oman, Thursday, after a three-day visit where he discussed with Sultan Qaboos the promotion of existing bilateral ties. The two leaders also touched on topics of mutual interests at the regional and international levels. During the visit, a number of Omani and Spanish officials met together. They explored avenues of joint cooperation and the possibility of entering joint ventures and benefiting from investment opportunities available in both countries. The King of Spain was accompanied by an official delegation comprising Minister of Defense Pedro Morenes and a number of top Spanish officials. King Juan Carlos has already made visits to neighbouring Gulf Cooperation Council states Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. He will also visit Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Qatar in May. The goal of the tour is to bolster Spain's bilateral relations and cooperation with Gulf states
