Karzai condemns NATO airstrike

Afghan President Hamid Karzai has strongly condemned a NATO airstrike in a militant stronghold in the east of the country that officials said left 16 civilians dead, including women and children. "Hamid Karzai considers attacking women and children against all accepted international norms and strongly condemns it," said Afghan Presidency in a statement. NATO carried an airstrike on Saturday in the eastern Afghan province of Kunar that left 15 people killed including women and children
