Jordan's Prince Hassan to head UN advisory board

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon has appointed His Royal Highness Prince Hassan Bin Talal as Chairman of his advisory board on water and sanitation which was established in 2004 to give advice to the UN chief as well as to galvanize action on water and sanitation issues. The Secretary General commended Prince Hassan for his leadership in championing a wide range of global causes and in supporting inter-cultural dialogue. Ban urged the international community, governments and the private sector to meet UN Goals to improve access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation by the target date of 2015.
