
Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Salim al Jabouri met on Sunday with US Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter Daesh Brett McGurk.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest security and political developments in Iraq and the region, as well as efforts exerted by the international community to eradicate terrorism.
The meeting also probed the outcome of the military operation to liberate Tal Afar from Daesh terrorists and help citizens return to their houses there.
It is necessary to mobilize international efforts to eradicate extremist thoughts and liberate the remaining parts in the country from terrorism, Jabouri told Al Iraqiya News TV channel.
