German FM Steinmeier 2-day visit to Algeria

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier arrived Saturday in Algiers, for a two-day visit to Algeria.
Steinmeier was welcomed upon his arrival at Houari-Boumediene International Airport by his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra.
"Relations between Algeria and Germany are age-old and traditional," Germany's foreign minister said.
Earlier in the day, the Algerian foreign ministry said the visit would be an opportunity to exchange views on several regional and international issues of common concern, especially the situation in the Sahel region and Libya.
