Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, has attended the reception hosted by Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to UN, Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Muallimi, and Consul-General in New York, Khalid Al-Shareef, marking Saudi Arabia’s 88th National Day.
 
A number of Arab foreign ministers, heads of diplomatic missions, consuls-general and businessmen were also present.
 
Dr. Al-Zayani extended deepest congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and the Saudi people marking 88th years since the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 He lauded the tremendous efforts exerted by the Saudi leadership to optimise their country’s achievements, hailing the giant leaps made by Saudi Arabia in various fields to achieve its ambitious national vision 2030 towards comprehensive sustainable development and more progress and prosperity.

 
The GCC chief expressed pride in the efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia in the service of Arab, Islamic and international issues, hailing its role in promoting global security and peace.
 
He wished King Salman and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman every success in achieving more progress for the Saudi people.
