
Iraqi Defense Minister Erfan Mahmoud al Hayali and his accompanying delegation visited Sunday the Jordanian northern military zone, where they were received by commander of the northern military region brigadier Ghazi Odah and a number of army officers.
During the tour, the Iraqi defense minister was briefed on tasks and duties carried out by the Jordanian northern military zone to protect borders and maintain the country’s security and stability, the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces said in a statement.
For his part, Al Hayali hailed the high and professional combat performance of the Jordanian Armed Forces to guard the country’s frontiers and preserve its security and stability, the statement added.
