Defence Minister: Syria is going ahead in its war

Deputy Commander-in-Cheif  of the Army and armed forces, Minister of Defense Fahd Jasem al-Freij on Wednesday paid a field visit to one of the air bases, accompanied by a number of the General Command officers, where he met the military brave pilots. "It became crystal clear to anyone that targeting Syria was because of its basic role in the resistance axis and in confronting the US-Zionist project in the region," al-Freij said, adding that the Israeli latest aggression proves the volume of involvement in the events in Syria as a desperate attempt to raise the moral of the armed terrorist groups who receive heavy strikes by the Syrian army. He affirmed that Syria is going ahead in its war against terrorism and its supporters, adding "the armed forces are in full readiness to deter all forms of aggression. Defence Minister appreciated the brave, high moral spirits the Syrian soldiers and pilots are enjoying.
