Bolivian President Evo Morales met with vice Chinese chairman of the Standing

Bolivian President Evo Morales on Friday met here with visiting vice Chinese chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Chen Zhu, the special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
During the meeting, Chen conveyed greetings and messages from President Xi and wished the summit to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Group of 77 (G77) a great success.
The Chinese president said in his message that the 50th anniversary of the establishment of G77 is a great event for the developing countries including China and Bolivia.
The special envoy said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 29 years ago, the China-Bolivia relations have been developing smoothly. The two nations have become friends and partners with mutual trust and mutual benefit.
Chen said that China highly values the development of the bilateral ties and is willing to further strengthen the political mutual trust and advance cooperation in various fields in order to benefit the two countries and their peoples.
President Morales thanked Chen as the special envoy of President Xi to attend the summit, saying that it significantly enhanced the influnce and the level of the summit.
Morales said Bolivia views China as a sincere friend and important partner and is looking forward to deepening the mutual cooperation.
The 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Group of 77 ( G77) will be held on June 14-15 in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Bolivia chairs the G77 for 2014.
The G77, established in 1964, is now a coalition of more than 130 developing UN member states plus China, and has more than 60 percent of the world's population.
The group, the largest intergovernmental organization of developing countries in the UN, is aimed at promoting collective economic interests and gaining leverage within the international community.
