
French President Francois Hollande has appointed Bernard Cazeneuve as new prime minister of France, succeeding Manuel Valls who announced his resignation on Monday.
Cazeneuve, 53, will lead the government until the 2017 elections after Valls stepped down in order to run for President as Socialist Party candidate, following Hollande's announcement of not seeking a re-election.
