World Tourism Day
Cairo - Arab Today

The Antiquities Ministry’s Museums Sector launched a new Facebook hashtag to mark World Tourism Day in a bid to encourage tourism in the country.

Under the #Visit_Egypt hashtag, the sector shared photos on the ministry’s official Facebook page of visitors at different sites that were photoshopped into photo frames derived from the ancient Egyptian civilization. The photos will then be sent to their owners so they can share them with families and friends around the world.

The World Tourism Day celebration, which started September 27, will today include three distinguished museums in Cairo: the Egyptian Museum, the Coptic Museum and the Textile Museum, where visitors, Egyptians and foreigners, will be photographed.
